Select this course ONLY if you have received notification (usually in the form of a letter) from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) directing you to attend a 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) course. This requirement is delineated in §322.0261, Florida Statutes, which directs the DHSMV to send a letter to a driver’s address of record with the Department if such driver has been involved in “A crash involving death or a bodily injury requiring transport to a medical facility” or “A second crash by the same operator within the previous 2-year period involving property damage in an apparent amount of at least $500.” It features:
